"Remember Cernan and Schmitt" was JW's email tagline.
Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt were the last men to set foot on the moon, in December 1972. Unix was just a couple of years old, and JW was 11.
JW said, in an email on Mon, 8 Sep 2003 :
- I put "Remember Cernan and Schmitt" in the same sense as "Remember the Alamo" or "Remember the Lusitania". They were the LAST to walk on the moon. That we have someone to identify as the last is unfortunate.
