Dear Mr. Lofstrom
Please accept my apology for not writing to you sooner. Your letter was very kind and thoughtful.
I am sure that Jonathan would want Dirvish to be improved and continued. I am very happy that you are continuing the program. While I use a computer, I really don't know much about them or how to make computers work. I can make a couple of programs do exactly what I want, but other than that I am a complete novice. In fact Jon and I used to laugh about that.
I also appreciated what you posted on the Dirvish website. You asked if we would like to include anything in the memorial. We have looked at the website several times and we can't think about anything that should be included, except maybe the most important aspect about him. He had a very deep and personal relationship with God and I know exactly where he is. He is with the Lord and I will see him again.
Jon could look at a computer program printout as if it were a picture. He once told me that when he looked at the printout it was like looking at a picture of a person and if something was in the wrong place or malformed it would be very obvious to him. This was a God given gift that neither of us understood; we just accepted it for what it was -- a gift. He also enjoyed movies, books, and all kinds of music.
Again thank you for your kind letter and the memorial posted on the web site. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any help or anything. My address is (removed), Sacramento, CA 95829. My e-mail is (removed), but like I said earlier I am not much on computers, so sometimes it takes a long time for me to get and answer e-mail. My phone is (removed).
Yours truly,

Ray Schultz
